I am really loving the new PBS Masterpiece Classics (Theater? why did they change it?) version of Emma with Romola Garai. I remember reading Emma and really disliking her but now I think she might have surpassed Elizabeth Bennett as my favorite Austen character. She’s lively, smart, insecure, and obnoxious at times and her entire character makes her more authentic.
